Mexican themed, adorable puppy Maggie-warming party at our friends Mike & Stephanie's house.
And, Nate baked a very very delicious key lime cheesecake!

I baked a lemon upside down cake from the Whole Living February issue few weeks ago. I liked the texture from the ground almonds and the fresh smell from the lemons, but, I wanted a more sugary flavor! :p

I wrote this posting about three weeks ago. Now, I can post this officially!

Oh, I can't believe what happened to me this past week. Things went so well, and turned out great. Honestly, much better than I thought.

I met my friend, Anne-b yesterday. While we were lost talking each other, I missed a call from the Brooklyn Museum which I had an interview with. I could feel something good through the Chief designer's voice message. We both were so excited about it, and we called the guys to have dinner after work. We walked from her house in West Village to Chinatown to have some delicious Pho. The weather was very windy and cold but at the same time it was very fresh and light. After dinner, we walked back to her house to drink wine. She opened one of her old wine bottles which was dated 1976 to celebrate my 'uncertain, but positive' situation. I was very honored to taste the wine that is older than me. I thought everything would be great. I could feel it.

And, finally, I got a call from the Brooklyn Museum. He said, "Congratulations!." This position is exactly what I wanted since I had worked at an art gallery. My first job in the States as a Senior Print Designer at the Brooklyn Museum... I can't be happy more than this. :)

I went out to take a walk with Mike when he went to work. The air is still chilly and crispy, but, for some reason I felt very fresh. I walked through the path in the park while enjoying the sunshine. Probably, I will miss my morning relaxation a lot when I start working soon. Now, I only have one week of sweet vacation.

I got some very good news to announce soon!

Having the original Boston cream pie at the Parker House Hotel was the main purpose of our trip to Boston. It was as delicious as I imagined. The custard inside the cake was very soft like clouds. Oh, so yummy... But one thing, the chocolate part was a lot more fancy and harder than I thought.

This might be the last snow this winter. We had good luck to get this pretty snow while we were staying in Boston. I adored the whole atmosphere of this area called Beacon Hill. The narrow streets along the hill, charming old houses and shops full of character were so pretty. I kept making a joke to Mike that I want to move to this area when our children go to Harvard, so we can be close to them. haha!

My book was featured in Vogue Girl Korea last month, which is same as Teen Vogue in America. My friend, a fashion editor at Vogue Girl, sent this copy to me with a Korean essay book. Getting a book as a present always makes me happy even though we don't have any more space in our book shelves. :)

We have been eating these sticky buns every morning this week. Yum! I am looking forward to eating the popular sticky buns at the Flour bakery when we go to Boston this weekend. I can compare which sticky bun is better, mine adapted from Amy's Bread cookbook or Flour's. :) So excited to try a piece of original Boston cream pie at the Omni Parker House Hotel and Flour's very famous sticky buns!

Yellow tulips from our friend make our house full of spring.

Perfectly, dreamy morning... We woke up to a wonderland. I was excited when I found this scenery through the window. So, I left home with Mike, of course, with a camera. The snow piled high overnight. When we opened the main door of our house, we noticed we were the first to step on the pure snow that morning. I didn't want to make Mike late to work so I said goodbye to him on the street, and I walked and walked so long in our neighborhood. I smelled the fresh morning full of snow. It was pretty amazing.

After I got home with my freezing feet, like a child, I seriously couldn't concentrate on anything. So I printed a lot of SNOW with my wooden type that I bought last fall. It was a perfect moment to print SNOW on this beautiful snow-covered day.

My first project, Save the Date cards, a gift for my friend's wedding in May with my Adana Tabletop Letterpress. I was not totally satisfied of the result, but, I compromised on my first trial. I am far from a professional printer, but I just took a step forward. It was a good chance to get to know my press with a real project. I have to figure out a few problems as I was struggling with my press this time. While I was working on this, I was very happy about being a small part of her wedding more than any other project I had worked on before. And, my friend and her fiance were happy about my present. That was very big to me... :)
