We cooked pasta with big shrimp we bought in the big fish market at the Sorae fishing port outside of Seoul. Wow! The shrimp were very fresh, almost impossible to stop eating. Yummy yummy~~~

Few days ago, my friend and I were talking about the "changes" in someone's life, especially, about my life after moving to the States. Suddenly, she filled with tears. I was really sad also, because I have never seen her cry since I have known her. I knew what made her sad. But, don't worry a lot about me, 언니. :)

These photos are taken by Mike while waiting for our seats at this French restaurant in New York where I was exhilarated after seeing Ethan Hawke there.

We took a walk after having dinner the day before yesterday. And we passed by a public funeral in the city hall park. A past president of Korea, Dae-jung Kim, died four days ago. Honestly, I am not the type who has an interest about political issues or any public matters. But, the solemn atmosphere made me feel sad, and people looked like they were praying devoutly for him from deep inside of their hearts.

Watermelon salad - We tried to copy a dish that we had in a restaurant last week. Watermelon and lemon sauce made that salad taste special. I want to put in mint and feta cheese next time.

My friend Jihyun had a chance to exhibit her three paintings for the Asian artists art festival, ASYAAF. She wanted to promote her works this time, so I made a brochure for her. We went there the opening day to see other artists' works. Each work had their own characteristic color and young energy, even though they were a little rough.

We took a self photo, right then, and realized we took a similar photo with the same composition two years ago when I visited her in Germany. I recalled that exciting memory with her. The first picture was taken in Germany in the summer of 2007 and the second picture was taken in Seoul in the summer of 2009. :)

It is seriously hot these days... I am waiting for the autumn breeze.
To wait for autumn in the middle of summer has been my habit every year. :)

We, both, are together almost all day, like one set. It makes me feel we are a real family now. :) Usually, we go jogging in the morning or after having dinner. We started to play badminton from last Saturday. My friends gave us a badminton racket set for my birthday present. It was really impressive present to us. One week ago, we changed our jogging route to Sajik Park and found bunch of people playing badminton in the park. So, we were thinking about buying a badminton set to enjoy it. I didn't mention it to my friend, but she read my mind! :) We played badminton last night again under the small night lights, it was so exciting we couldn't stop playing. And today, our bodies feel sore.

I love my pink Crocs shoes, especially walking in the water on a rainy day.  On our summer vacation, I realized that they had the perfect weight to swim in the water.  Also, they kept my feet from getting sandy, and the bottoms are padded to walk on the rocks.  I didn't think I would wear these shoes when Mike bought them for me.  But now, I'm quite comfortable with them, so I even wear these shoes to take a walk every evening. :)

We went to MOA to look at a famous building design.  I went there several times, but I joined for Mike's first visit.  This museum, designed by Rem Koolhaas, is inside of Seoul National University.  The sunshine was great for taking pictures, even though it was too hot to walk.  We saw an exhibition of Korean artists working in America and watched one documentary by a Dutch artist.  Mike carefully observed some materials of this building.

Actually, I read this book, "To Kill a Mockingbird,"  in Korean long time ago, but I barely remembered the story.  I finished my second reading of it yesterday.  Right after finishing it, Mike and I watched the same movie based on the novel.  This movie is one of his favorite movies.  I've never liked b/w films before, but suddenly I found myself enjoying this movie a lot.  Scout and Jem were incredibly lovely characters like in the novel!  Maybe, I can watch b/w film movies more often from now. :)

Mike made a zucchini and chicken salad for dinner.  It was a good choice on a humid day.  Yummy Yummy!!! :)

These photos are from our summer vacation.  I already miss the beautiful place and the fun times with my family!

Mike doesn't go to work from this week, and he started studying to take his licensing exam.  He studies really hard!  I surprised at his concentration.  We studied in Starbucks in the morning time.  At lunch time, we bought some gimbap from a very small but delicious restaurant and ate it  in the park sitting on a small chair in the shade.  It was hot outside, but it was romantic. :)  I like that we can spend time together everyday like on the weekends.  Actually, we started dating in the same company, so we've gotten used to being together everyday from our first date until now.  We are not bored if we do nothing special, just sitting next to each other.  Maybe we won't have kind of this chance often later, so I am enjoying this time.

Usually, we change the menu for every meal.  Today was unusual because we had rice as a meal twice, but it was good. :)

We had a summer vacation with all of my family, almost 20 people.  We went to the river banks in Pyeongchang to go fishing and swimming. :)  The river was very beautiful and surrounded by big mountains.  All of us looked like we were back in our childhoods.  We had a lot of fun.  We fished in the morning time, had lunch, swam in the afternoon, fished in the evening, had dinner and drank lots of drinks.  I love the scenery of Kangwon-do most.  It is beautiful all year round in Korea.  I can't describe it with any words, I even can't take a photo of the huge, breathless scenery because it can't be photographed.  The forests have vivid, colorful layers, and the cloud hang on the top of the mountains.  I felt like it was another world!

We are totally refresh after breathing the fresh air there.  We made unforgettable summer memories with my family.
